Ethics
It is the responsibility of lama owners to:
Feed, house and pasture properly, give appropriate preventive and supportive medications, maintain the health of lamas to prevent illness;
Feed and wean offspring to ensure the development of healthy, well-balanced animals;
Breed lamas without known physical or behavioral problems for the betterment of the species;
Train and represent lamas in keeping with their innate capabilities and nature;
Use, manage and raise lamas in a manner which supports their well-being and continues to make them a joy to own;
Be an informed and educated owner;
Share experience and knowledge. |
